Dr. Suresh Advani is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology with over 50 years of experience in cancer care. He has been instrumental in advancing oncology practices in India and has managed a wide range of complex cancer cases throughout his career. His areas of expertise include medical oncology, hematologic malignancies, clinical and biological therapeutics, and development-based cancer research. He is recognized for introducing innovative treatment protocols and contributing to the evolution of evidence-based oncology in the country. Dr. Suresh Advani is currently associated with S.L. Raheja Hospital – A Fortis Associate, Mahim, Mumbai, where he continues to offer his clinical services and expertise. Prior to this, he held a long tenure as the Chief of Medical Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, where he significantly contributed to the development of cancer treatment frameworks. Notably, he was the first oncologist in India to successfully perform a bone marrow transplant. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Suresh Advani remains actively involved in oncology research and the implementation of global treatment standards within the Indian healthcare context.
