Dr. Haresh G.Mehta

Dr. Haresh Mehta is a senior interventional cardiologist with over two decades of experience in the field. He has independently performed more than 10,000 interventional procedures, including coronary angiographies and angioplasties, with a significant number conducted via the transradial approach. His expertise spans across interventional and structural cardiology, including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), in which he also serves as a proctor and trainer for reputed medical device companies such as Medtronic and Meril. He is an independent operator for Edwards and Hydra valve systems and has played a pioneering role in structural interventions, being the first in Maharashtra to perform a transcatheter double valve-in-valve replacement and among the first in India. He also successfully implanted an Impella device in a nonagenarian patient as part of advanced cardiac support interventions. Dr. Haresh Mehta is currently associated with S.L. Raheja Hospital – A Fortis Associate, Mahim, Mumbai, where he serves as the Director of Interventional & Structural Cardiology. He has received international training in advanced coronary, peripheral, and structural heart procedures at leading institutions such as University Hospital, Bern (Switzerland), Lenox Hill Hospital (New York), Kings Hospital (London), Hanusch University Hospital (Vienna), and specialized training in TAVI at a center in Budapest. His areas of expertise include interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, heart failure devices, pacemaker implantation, ECMO, and Impella support systems. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Haresh Mehta is actively involved with several professional societies including the American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, and the Cardiological Society of India. He has presented his work in numerous national and international forums, contributing to the advancement of interventional and structural heart care.
