Dr. K C Gurudev

Dr. K. C. Gurudev is among the senior-most nephrologists in India, with over 35 years of rich experience in the field of Nephrology. He received his advanced training under the legendary Padmabhushan Dr. M. K. Mani at Apollo Hospital, Chennai. In 1991, Dr. Gurudev pioneered nephrology services in Mysore city and went on to perform the first renal transplantation outside Bangalore in 1993. Over the years, he has been associated with more than 500 kidney transplants, significantly contributing to the growth of renal sciences in Karnataka. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Gurudev is deeply committed to medical education, mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students. He also serves as an examiner for DM and DNB (Nephrology), shaping the next generation of nephrology specialists.
