Dr. Raghunandan completed his MBBS from JJM Medical College, Davanagere, Karnataka. Further, he completed MRCS in General Surgery from Royal College of Surgeons of England, the UK and pursued MD (Research) degree in cancer biology from Queen Mary University of London. Subsequently he completed FRCS in General and GI Surgery from Royal College of Surgeons of England, UK. He has more than 15 years of experience in general surgery and gastro-intestinal surgery covering all aspects of minimal access surgery (Laparoscopic surgery) including stomach, gall bladder, liver, pancreas, colon and rectum. He also specialises in management of ano-rectal conditions such as haemorrhoids, anal fistula and anal fissure providing up-to-date therapies for these conditions. He is also proficient in upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures. Additional skill set includes treatment of complex abdominal wall hernias, Inguinal (groin area) hernias as well as hiatus hernia, employing both laparoscopic and conventional techniques. He has authored many publications in peer-reviewed journals, both at national and international level.
