Dr. Sahil Rally

Dr. Sahil Rally is an expert kidney and pancreas transplant surgeon with more than 8 years of experience in the field of kidney and pancreas transplant surgery and vascular access surgery. He has independently performed over 3500 combined kidney transplant and vascular access & access salvage procedures. He has done his MBBS, MS (General Surgery) from GMC, Amritsar. Later he joined as a registrar in Kidney Transplant Surgery Department of PGIMER, Chandigarh and got his Fellowship in Renal and Pancreas Transplant Surgery from there. While in FHM, he has been instrumental in establishing the Deceased donor transplant Programme at Fortis and inspired several other centres in the state to start with the deceased donor transplant programmes. He performed the first deceased donor transplant of both Fortis,Mohali and Jalandhar (previously Srimann Hospital). He has vast experience in performing deceased donor transplants from both Standard/Extended criteria donors. He is an expert in performing Dual kidney Transplants with successful outcomes. He is also expert in performing highly sensitized and high titres ABOi kidney transplants with outcomes at par globally. He does the donor nephrectomy and kidney transplant is both laproscopically and with Robotics assistance (Minimal invasive techniques). He has been actively involved in doing standard living donor and deceased donor transplant (both DBD/DCD) and ABO compatible/incompatible as well as swap transplants. He is also well versed in AV fistula and salvage surgeries both simple and complex (Dialysis Access surgeries and restarting the blocked AV fistulas). He has 8 national and international publications in his name and has even presented his work in various national and international conferences. He is also a life member of the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation and Indian Association of Gastrointestinal & Endo-Surgeons.
