Dr. Saurabh Misra

Dr. Misra is a distinguished surgeon with a remarkable track record of more than 10,000 independent minimal access surgeries. He is an accredited expert on the advanced DaVinci Xi robotic system and has successfully performed over 200 complex robotic procedures, including advanced gastrointestinal, colo-rectal, bariatric, and complex hernia surgeries. His comprehensive surgical expertise also covers: • Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy • Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass (including Mini-Bypass) • Hepatobiliary (Liver and Gallbladder) Surgeries • Laparoscopic Colorectal Procedures • Complex Hernia Repairs • Laser Proctology A Pioneer in Minimal Access Surgery Dr. Misra is a recognized innovator in his field. He invented a new form of minimal access surgery known as SMILS (Single site multi incision Laparoscopic surgery), which was published in the Journal of Minimal Access Surgery. He also pioneered the e-TEP Rives Stoppa procedure for ventral hernias, with his surgical unit having one of the largest series of these advanced procedures in the Asia-Pacific region. He has presented his findings on this technique at global conferences, including in Tokyo, Japan, and Prague. World-Class Training and Academic Leadership Dr. Misra completed his Masters in Surgery (MS) in India followed by three years of specialized training in advanced laparoscopic surgery at the prestigious Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. He further honed his skills with a Fellowship in Bariatric Surgery from the renowned Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA. A dedicated educator, Dr. Misra is committed to training the next generation of surgeons.
