Dr. Sreekanta Swamy is the Additional Director of Neurology at Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru. Dr Sreekanta completed his neurology training at the prestigious Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute in the year 1994, Trivandrum. He earned his M.B.B.S. from Mysore University (1979) and pursued M.D. in Internal Medicine from Gulbarga University (1984).
With over 32 years of extensive clinical experience, Dr. Swamy began his career in Accident & Emergency care at NIMHANS, before moving into academics as a Lecturer in Medicine at KMC, Hubli, and later as Lecturer in Neurology at Bangalore Medical College. He also served as a Professor of Neurology at Vydehi Medical College for eight years, where he significantly contributed to postgraduate training and mentoring.
Dr. Swamy has been a consistent advocate for public health education, organizing numerous CMEs and awareness programs focused on neurological conditions. He is also a published author with multiple national and international research publications to his credit.
