Fortis Hospital, Manesar Celebrates Woman’s Day with Equality Walk – Walking the Ramp for Inclusivity 

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Fortis Hospital, Manesar, hosted EQUALITY WALK – Walking the Ramp for Inclusivity. The EQUALITY WALK celebrated women from all walks of life, each playing an essential role within our hospital and in our communities. The focus of the event was to showcase every woman, regardless of her journey, deserves to be celebrated. The event underscored the hospital's commitment to gender equality, inclusivity, and women's empowerment in healthcare and beyond. 

The event stated at around 12.00 noon and went-up till 2.20 pm and was attended by 150 plus women, many of whom choose to walk the ramp to show their strength, resilience, and achievements, breaking stereotypes and inspiring others. The participants for the ramp walk included included, to-be mothers, new mothers with the little ones, cancer survivors, homemakers, doctor, nurses, technicians and other staff members. The judges for the EQUALITY WALK were  woman of eminence from the corporate fraternity, Ms Ritu Bedi, Head HR for Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles and Dr Nidhi Chopra, Regional Medical Officer, Global Health and Wellbeing, Hindustan Uniliver (HUL). Besides the ramp walk, there were special performances by doctors from Fortis Manesar and Ms Anjana Maharaj – a trained classical musician.    

The Chief Guest for the event was Ms Sonam C Chhabra. Ms Sonam is one of India's top TV Host, a Content Creator, actor and motivational speaker. In addition to her engaging online content focused on lifestyle and fashion, Sonam is dedicated to raising awareness about Mental Health and Self-development. She is a liver donor herself and has guided hundreds of her followers about organ donation. She was also seen at the Cannes Film Festival 2024. Attending the event Ms Sonam said, “Happy to celebrate Women’s Day at Fortis Hospital, Manesar! I truly believe that strength lies in every choice we make, every challenge we overcome, and every step we take forward. It was inspiring to witness the dedication and resilience of women in healthcare at today’s event—honoring their contributions, sharing their stories, and celebrating the impact they make every day. Grateful to be a part of this meaningful celebration!”      

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mahipal Bhanot, Vice President and Business Head - Fortis Hospital Manesar, Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Fortis Hospital Shalimar Bagh and Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj said, “At Fortis, we choose action over acknowledgment.
