Dr. Vishal Chhabra

He has 21 yrs of experience in clinical practice after completing his post-graduation while working in various esteemed institutions like IHBAS, GTB Hospital, VIMHANS and Metro Group of Hospitals. He is currently the HOD & Senior Consultant at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh and also visiting two of their other hospitals in Okhla and Vasant Kunj. He is Life Fellow of Indian Psychiatric Society, Indian Association of Biological Psychiatry, Indian Association of Social Psychiatry and Indian Association of Private Psychiatry. He is the recipient of Ravi Pandey Memorial Award (2006), WPA Fellowship in Child Psychiatry (2008) and Asian Federation Fellowship (2012). He has 14 published articles in Indexed Journals and 2 Chapters in a Psychiatry Textbook, besides also on the Delhi Psychiatry Journal editorial board. He is currently the Immediate Past President of the Delhi Psychiatric Society (DPS). He was President (2022-2023) Vice President (2019-21) General Secretary (2017-18), and Treasurer (2010-2016) of the same organisation which is the largest association of Psychiatrists and Psychologists in Delhi-NCR. During his Presidency, he had initiated various academic activities with more focus on budding psychiatrists and increasing membership of young psychiatrists.
