Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road Conducts Mock Drill to Strengthen Emergency Preparedness
In line with the state-wide initiative announced by Civil Defence, Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road successfully conducted a mock drill today to assess and enhance its emergency response capabilities.
The exercise aimed to evaluate response times, interdepartmental coordination, and the readiness of infrastructure and personnel to manage crises such as mass casualty events and natural disasters.
Simulating multiple case scenarios—including fractures, smoke inhalation, and head injuries—the drill tested real-time triage protocols, with patients assessed and categorized using a color-coded system (Red, Yellow, Green) based on the severity of their condition.
This proactive initiative reinforced seamless coordination between clinical and support teams, ensuring the hospital remains well-prepared to handle critical situations with efficiency and precision.
