Over 180 clinicians attend Pulmo Intensiva 2025, organised by Fortis Vasant Kunj

The Department of Pulmonology, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine, Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj, under the leadership of Organising Chairman Dr Prashant Saxena, Senior Director & HOD - Pulmonology, Critical Care, hosted Pulmo Intensiva 2025 on June 17, 2025. This landmark event was attended by over 180 general practitioners from various hospitals and was graced by prominent dignitaries, including Dr Gurvinder Kaur, Facility Director, Fortis Vasant Kunj; Mr Anil Vinayak, Group COO, Fortis Healthcare; and Mr Mahipal Singh Bhanot, Senior Vice President and Business Head - FMRI, Shalimar Bagh & Vasant Kunj.

The conference aimed to provide general practitioners with the latest insights and practical tips in pulmonary medicine. Key topics included tuberculosis, asthma, COPD, acute chest pain, and breathlessness, with a focus on early diagnosis, effective treatment strategies, and advancements in pharmacological treatments and personalized care plans. The event also addressed the differential diagnosis and management of conditions such as myocardial infarction and pulmonary embolism, sleep apnea screening and CPAP therapy, and the interpretation of culture and sensitivity reports for prudent antibiotic use. Non-resolving pneumonia and managing congestion were also extensively discussed.
